Agreed. Much rather see him come up at the end of the year (if indeed his Junior Season were to end before the Big Club’s Season End’s) and basically act like a Trade Deadline Addition much as Cale did last year with the added benefit of course of not having to give up anything to acquire him.
Random inquiry: seeing that player salaries are all fulfilled by playoffs game 1 puck drop, what does it mean for players on ELC’s who haven’t played 10 regular season games but suit up for a 10+ in the playoffs? Does it burn a year or is that a sort of loophole not often utilized? |
